Robert Reiss, M.D., FACP
Dr. Robert Reiss is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor of Internal and Family Medicine at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He has worked as a team physician for the University of Southern California and Long Beach Ice Dogs Hockey team and as a consultant for the San Francisco Giants Baseball Club, Association of Volleyball Professionals and West Coast Sports Foundation’s Team to Win. He was chosen to travel to Germany with the Pacific-10 basketball all star team and to provide event coverage for the 1992 NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four in Los Angeles. Dr. Reiss is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Running and Fitness Association. He is committed to the Center for Heart and Health’s motto of “Fitness for Life”. He has participated in marathons, triathlons, century bike rides and numerous community running events. Dr. Reiss is also an active member of the community and currently serves as a board member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and having previously served on the board of the Airport Marina Counseling Service. He has been rewarded for his academic and community involvement with the prestigious title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
